Did you know that for every dollar the Alberta government invests in post-secondary education, they get $3.80 back in higher taxes? Or that Alberta has the highest college and university drop-out rates? Or that applications to post-secondary programs increased 24% since 2008? On February 11, ASEC is asking students at eight post-secondary institutions across the province to hand-write recommendations for what the government needs to do to improve the future of post-secondary and the fortunes of all Albertans.
We'll be collecting these messages, choosing the best ones, and then baking them into giant fortune cookies which will be delivered to the Honorable Doug Horner, Minister of Advanced Education. [Download our press release]
