Partners for Mental Health is an organization dedicated to transforming the way people think, act, and support mental health in Canada. It began in 2012 with the purpose of "chang[ing] how people think about and support mental health, act towards people living with a mental illness and improve the mental well-being of people in their community and across the country" (see Impact Report link below)
Through partnerships, public engagement, and mobilization, they are working to encourage mental health maintenance, inspire positive attitudes toward people with mental illness, improve mental health policies, and increase services.
Their social movement focuses on positive ideas and actions. For example, their 'Let’s Call BS' national campaign challenged youth to “call BS” on the way society fails to support mental health, encouraging them to take a declaration for change.
Joining Partners for Mental Health can provide your student organization with Mental Health information happening across Canada, and connect you with future opportunites and events.
