A United Voice

ASEC is a member-driven, non-partisan advocacy organization.  We are dedicated to helping

create a fair, accessible, affordable post-secondary education system for all Albertans.


Mandate:

ASEC works on behalf of students in four ways:

  1. *Meeting regularly with the government to address student concerns

  2. *Advancing our lobbying goals through well-researched policies

  3. *Organizing awareness campaigns & media events

  4. *Providing professional development to student leaders

  5. *Working with other stakeholders to ensure post-secondary issues are top-of-mind


Governance:

ASEC is governed by a board, struck from its membership, and led by an elected Executive

Committee.  The 2009-10 ASEC Executive Committee is:

  3. *Colin Rose, Director of Advancement

  4. *Timothy Jobs, Director of Finance

  5. *Heather MacBeath, Director of Marketing and Communications

  7. *Kerri Hartman, Treasurer


ASEC also employs a permanent, full-time Executive Director, Carol Neuman.
